Gas prices are going up and pay is going down.
Wih todays gas prices on the rise we start to notice little things at the pump. I have notice this awhile back and it just has been on my mind for a long time now. I will see if anyone can answer this question or give there insite on the matter.
I have been seeing alot of gas stations saying 10% ETHANOL added. That is ok here is where i have a problem. Back when ethanol fist hit the market it was dirt cheap. When regular was .75 cents a gallon ethanol was .25 a gallon.
Now they add it to the gas shouldnt we see a discount on it from non-ethanol gas? Is it just the gas company putting this in just to make there pockets bigger? I figure that they are adding things to our gas then we should see a discount. Watered down gas is what i am starting to call it.

When ethanol is added it does not harm the car it just makes you use more of it. You usually loose some of your mpg that is all. In the 80's i was all for ethanol just to give us a break on our gas supply.

it is the fact that they are watering the gas down and still charging us FULL price on it. I just dont understand it

In a way you can thank the reserve bank and the big banks for high gas prices. Printing money like its going out of fashion to bail out the banking system has devalued the dollar. Sure the price of gas has gone up but the value of the US dollar is going down which creates a double whammy!
